Eat, Stay & Play in Paris, France

Eat

  • Ristorante-Bottega
Sweet, upscale French bistro.  I dined on Dorado fish with fresh caper berries on a bed of tomato sauce and eggplant.  Try the Caesar salad with whole parmesan shavings.
  • Amorino
Fantastic gelato near Luxembourg Gardens – get a cone and wander around the park 4, Rue Vavin, 75006 Paris, France
  • Angelina’s Café
A Paris café that serves a decadent cup of hot chocolate – one that tastes like a melted chocolate bar; near the Louvre.
  • Pomme de Pain
This chain restaurant is kinda/sorta like the Subway or Togo’s of France.  I ordered a sandwich with lox and cream cheese.  The meal deal came with a soda and a lemon tart.

Stay

  • Citadines
The best deal in Paris.  Clean and sparse – nothing fancy, gets the job done.  This apart’hotel comes equipped with a kitchenette and full bath.

  • Hotel Mercure
A four-star hotel located in the heart of Paris, a short walk from the Eiffel Tower and halfway between the Champs-Elysées and Montparnasse, You will discover a haven of peace in the Parisian bustle.

Play

  • Rue Mouffetard
The real McCoy – French style.  A lively Parisian cobblestone street steeped in tradition.  Authentic shops and a flower market make this experience a cosmopolitan treasure.

  • Jaquemart-Andre Museum
If you are looking to get away from the masses and experience French culture from the mid-1800’s, look no further than this crown jewel of boutique museums.  In one word: eblouissant
    dazzling!

  • Theatre Mogador
We saw the Lion King (Le Roi Lion) all in French!  Being inside this venerable, opulent, dramatic theatre is worth the price of admission: chandeliers, stained glass, red carpet and creative art.

  • Saint-Chapelle
The entire cathedral is made of stained glass – a reverent place of worship.
